Rosewood Lane Twin Quilt in True Colors!

It was such a pleasure to finish this Rosewood Lane Twin quilt! I love how bright and happy it is.

Stash-Busting Pattern

Rosewood Lane is the perfect fat quarter stash-busting quilt pattern.  In keeping with the scrappy theme, the binding is also cut from the fat quarters, if you choose.

Make it scrappy without a lot of thought

Rosewood Lane looks like it's thrown together, but rest assured it's all blocks that you can sit down and chain stitch.  Sometimes it's great to sew a quilt that doesn't require much thought about fabric placement, and this is it!  I didn't even place these blocks on the design wall to check fabric placement.  I placed the blocks into piles to sew into rows, only making sure that the same fabrics weren't next to each other block by block. Then when I assembled the rows together, I just grabbed a row and didn't check for identical fabrics next to each other.  It worked out amazingly well; I only found one place where the same fabric met from row to row, and it's right there in the picture below.  Of course, using a wide variety of fabrics minimizes the same fabrics being placed together.

Zippy Binding

This quilt was made as a custom order, and I was *tickled* beyond measure when she chose the black/white diagonal stripe binding rather than plain gray!  That was my first choice, too!  The pattern calls for cutting the binding from the fat quarters, but of course, you don't have to do that and can choose something fun and zippy for your quilt, too!

All the sizes

Rosewood Lane includes all the sizes - Wall Hanging, Baby, Throw, Twin, Queen, and King.  I'm all about spoilin' you with all the sizes to give my patterns true value.  I love to do all that math!

Quilting Details

This quilt was quilted using a Maze edge-to-edge design on my Handi Quilter Fusion with ProStitcher longarm machine.  This is a computerized machine, so the stitching ends up nearly perfect, as long as I set it up correctly.  :)

Ombre Gems Throw Quilt in Ombre Confetti Fabric!

This week's custom order finish is an Ombre Gems throw quilt in Ombre Confetti fabrics.

The quilt top was made by my sewist, Kare, and quilted and bound by me.  The only way I can take custom quilt orders is to have one of my sewists make the quilt top; I'm too busy with the pattern design side of my business to make the entire quilt myself.  I have found sewists that sew even better than I do, and I have a very high standard for matching points and accurate piecing.  You have no idea how happy it makes me to be able to give them a way to earn money doing what they love to do - sew quilts!  It absolutely thrills me to do this for them!! :)  The quilts are then quilted by me with a stunning design and then bound.

Quilting Design

This delish quilting design is Wandering Spirals.  The quilting is done on my computerized longarm, a Handi Quilter Fusion with ProStitcher.  Thread is natural white from Superior Omni.

Custom Orders

Custom orders are made to the customer's specifications, including the design, fabric selection (all layers, including backing and binding), the batting inside, and the quilting design.  Don't wait until the last minute to place an order; my schedule fills up quickly, and turnaround time can be months out.  A 50% deposit places your quilt on my schedule.

Grandpa's Barn is a 2-1/2" strip jelly roll friendly quilt pattern that is entirely strip pieced for a quick finish.  The quilt kit includes yardage, however, as there were a number of light prints in the collection that needed left out to let the design shine through.  This is the entire collection which you will find right here.

Ombre Mountains Throw Quilt Kits!

Ombre Mountains has been kitted by Calico Creations in Mount Vernon, Washington using the exact Moda Grunge fabrics in the cover quilt!  How fun is that?!?  You'll find the quilt kit right here.  They also have quilt Ombre Mountains patterns in stock if you just want the pattern.

Calico Creations is a quilt shop located in 35 minutes south of where I live in Bellingham.  Their address is 400 S. 1st St. in Mount Vernon.

The Ombre Mountains quilt pattern includes 6 sizes - Baby, Lap, Throw, Twin, Queen, and King.  The piece sizes vary by quilt size, and I've done all of the math to create ideal quilt sizes while using exactly 14 fabrics in all sizes; and let me tell you, it wasn't easy with the combination of half-square triangles and rectangles!  This kind of math is my jam!  💜

Included in the quilt pattern are exact fabric names of the Moda Grunge version on the cover, as well as an Allison Glass rainbow version.

Sunnyside Quilt Kit in True Colors by Tula Pink!

I'm super excited to share with you that Sunnyside has been kitted by Quilted Works in St. George, Utah!  Isn't it stunning in a rainbow of Tula Pink! I sure think so.

And I love it when you all take my patterns and make them your own.  I had never envisioned Sunnyside in more than two colors as shown in yellow and gray in the pattern cover below!  Now a multi-colored version is on my must-make list.  💕

Love Multiplied Quilt - the Miss Kate One

Today I'm revisiting the Love Multiplied quilt!  This was the first Love Multiplied quilt I made (here is the second), and I have fabric for a solid version all cut and ready to go.

Miss Kate

This version of Love Multiplied is done up in Miss Kate by Bonnie and Camille, an older fabric collection.  It's classic of Bonnie and Camille collections with red, blue, aqua and apple green with a dash of rosy pink.  The backing and binding are also from the Miss Kate collection - they're a fantastic, bold royal blue.

Fat Quarters, Yardage, and BONUS Charm Packs

Love Multiplied includes all of your favorite fabric options - fat quarters and yardage - and inside the quilt pattern is a special bonus where you'll find the fabric requirements for charm packs (or layer cakes and charm packs).

Longarm Quilting

This Love Multiplied was made while I was still quilting on Mrs.Singer, an antique 31-15 from around 1896 mounted on a longarm quilting frame, and I mainly stitched a meandering stitch on her.

Quick and Easy

Love Multiplied is a quick and easy quilt pattern.  When I placed the Xs on my design wall to figure out fabric placement, I had a hard time getting the design right, so included in the pattern are tips for laying out the pieces.  When that's completed, stack up the rows and head to the sewing machine for some quick, anti-stress sewing!
