The Calliope Quilt Pattern is Now Available!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

After several years being licensed to Connecting Threads, Calliope is back and is now available at Busy Hands Quilts.

All the Sizes!

Calliope includes 5 sizes - Baby, Throw, Twin, Queen, and King.  My patterns include as many sizes as possible (it all depends on the math), giving you true value for your dollar.

The Calliope quilt pattern includes unique setting triangles that finish the quilt all the way out to the border.  Don't worry, I've broken it down step by step for you, easy peasy!

The pattern includes specific instructions for fabric placement, so you're never wondering where anything goes.

Below is the queen size kit that Connecting Threads created in their Maison Rouge fabric collection.  This fabric and kit are no longer available.

For fun, I mocked up Calliope in Sunday Stroll by Bonnie and Camille.  It turned out pretty sweet!

Calliope Throw Quilt in Annie's Farm Stand!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

I'm finally getting around to showing you the rest of the quilts I made last year that I didn't blog about.

I've introduced you to the pattern which Connecting Threads kitted in Maison Rouge fabric, but I haven't shown you the quilt I made to test the pattern.  This is Calliope!

When I first sewed this quilt top, those bold polka dots said HELLO a bit too loudly to me, but now I think their boldness is lovely.

I went out on a limb in choosing the red thread for quilting (I usually choose a blender thread), and I'm so glad I did because it adds such a fun touch.

Quilt Stats:
Pattern:  Calliope, available right here.
Fabric:  Annie's Farm Stand with a few other prints tossed in.
Size:  56" x 69" Throw size
Batting:  Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 cotton/poly
Quilting:  I think it's Maison Rouge which is funny because that's the name of the fabric that Connecting Threads kitted this pattern in!  Quilted on Gratitude, my HandiQuilter Fusion with ProStitcher.

This quilt is for sale in my quilt shop right over here.

This is Connecting Threads version of Calliope in Maison Rouge.  Isn't is super sweet?!?

Did you know that the quilt pattern designer chooses exactly what fabrics are used in the quilt kits at Connecting Threads?  We do.  Hours are spent on the computer putting fabrics here and there until we find the perfect arrangement.  And my favorite thing is to place a bold plaid or stripe as the binding in the kit.  :)  The plaid you see in the center of the star blocks is also the binding fabric!

It appears that the quilt kit is no longer available at Connecting Threads, but you can get the pattern download right over here.  It includes Baby, Throw, Twin, Queen, and King sizes, so it's a great value.

Calliope - A New Quilt Pattern and Quilt Kit!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

I have another brand-new quilt pattern to show you!  Calliope just made her debut in the Connecting Threads catalog and is featured in the slider image advertising the Maison Rouge fabric collection on their website.

Calliope.  Do you say "Cal-E-Ope" or "Kuh-Ly-Oh-Pee"?  My daughter and I say it differently.  She knows someone with this name, so she has some basis for why she says it the second way, and I have no reason for why I say it the first way, other than it's hard to change once you envision it a certain way.

Anyway, Calliope {however you say it!}, comes in five sizes - Baby, Lap, Twin, Queen and King - and has been kitted by Connecting Threads in Maison Rouge in the Queen size.  If you are looking for the kit or the standalone pattern, you'll find them both on the CT website.  I have licensed this pattern to CT for a period of time, so that's why you won't find it in my shop.  I do thank you for looking to see if you could buy it directly from me though.  :)  They are right here.

Below is Calliope in the current catalog.  I love to see how they style the quilts for pictures.

Calliope is the second quilt pattern of mine in the current Connecting Threads catalog.  I posted about Granny's Square Patch yesterday right here.
