My finish is a Trip Around the World lap quilt in Benartex Essential Gradations.  This was a custom order through my Etsy shop for a lucky little girl.

Quilting is stitch in the ditch using Superior Monopoly thread.  I'm tickled with how invisible it is!

The backing is also an Essential Gradation.

Fiber Tuesday {a Linky Party!)

Welcome to Fiber Tuesday where you link up your fun fiber projects!  I'm hosting today's link-up party for Mel over at The Quilting Room. 

I'm working on two 30" table toppers which are made from 28 jelly roll strips with very little leftover.  A tutorial may be in the works.  This project began as an inquiry from one of my husband's aunts for a winter table topper.  I had on hand just the jelly roll for it, something that said winter but didn't scream Christmas so it's usable for a longer amount of time.  To make full use of the strips, one table topper goes from light in the middle to darker toward the edges, and the other one goes from dark in the middle to lighter toward the edges.  Raise your hand if you see how I sneaked in a rainbow theme here!  I get to keep one!

Also on this week's schedule is custom quilting this beautiful batik quilt top for Andrea!  It's a lap size and is oh so very, very pretty.

Finished or Not Friday {a Linky Party!} + Custom Quilting a Fat Quarter Fizz Quilt

My finish to share this week is quilting and binding this Fat Quarter Fizz quilt in Lexington fabrics for Andrea!  It's a lap size.

The quilting is an allover meander in cream thread on Mrs.Singer, my antique 31-15 mounted on a long-arm quilting frame.

Fiber Tuesday {a Linky Party!} + Summer Solstice Quilt Along Progress

Welcome to Fiber Tuesday where you link up your fun fiber projects!

My share is my Summer Solstice Quilt Along progress.  The blocks are nearly assembled with two seams to go on eight more blocks.  I tried to get them done for today's linky party but didn't quite make it.  Here's a glimpse of the rainbow of goodness in the blocks.

And here's the pile with two more seams to go.  This was my first ever attempt at curved seams in the drunkard's path blocks, and can I just say they aren't my favorite, but they weren't that bad.  But I say that in hindsight, ya' know.  

My plan is to add a border to enlarge this quilt to a queen.  It's currently about 75" square with no sashing or border.  I'm leaving off the sashing because I like the subpattern created when the blocks join up with each other.  Not sure what I'm doing for the border because the quilt parade for finished quilts at Happy Quilting is on the 14th, and that is approaching very rapidly.  Okay, so I just talked myself into leaving it the size it is, adding a narrow black border and calling it finished.  Yeah for decision-making joining forces with a reality check!

To-Do Tuesday {a linky party!} + Scrappy Patches Pattern Update!

Welcome to To-Do Tuesday!  I'm hosting today for Christine over at Stitch All the Things!  What's on your to-do list this week?

My list includes working on the New Brick Cottage Lane pattern.  After I finish the pattern details, I'll be sewing up a queen size using these gorgeous collections - Color Theory and Simply Color!  Dontcha love it's rainbowy goodness?!?  And I get to keep it!  And no, the queen size doesn't take 80 fat quarters, but with this pattern, the more the merrier!

Today I started a quilt for the new cover of Scrappy Patches and discovered there are some errors in the pattern.  If you've purchased it and it's on your list to make soon, please hold off.  All buyers will receive a revised pattern for free, either through the Craftsy platform or by email if purchased through Etsy.  Craftsy automatically notifies buyers when a new pattern file is uploaded by the designer.  This is the benefit of buying through my Craftsy shop.  My cover quilt will be made from Mojito - as happy as can be!

I'm Guest Hosting Fiber Tuesday {a Linky Party!}

I've nearly finished the Kite Flight quilt top and just need to add a 3-4" border to make it twin size.  I'm so tickled that there are enough pieces left over to make a matching pillow sham, too!  

I purchased my kit last year, and Kite Flight is now available at Craftsy in cool, refreshing colors.  Isn't it pretty?!?  There is also a matching backing that is just perfect.  I just checked, and they're both currently on sale!
